Level 1 Certified Mentor
Carrie Kloss discovered hooping after being a professional ballroom dancer and teacher for over 35 years. She found hoop dancing to be the perfect balance between dance, art and athleticism.
She fell in love with hooping after her enthusiastic daughter had her attend a class, and she’s been hooping everyday since. Carrie and her daughter both took the Hoop Revolution Teacher Training Program and became Certified Mentors.
Carrie teaches hoop dancing in San Diego, California and has incorporated it into some local ballroom dance studios, as well as teaching classes in the park.
Carrie was very inspired by the Hoop Revolution founders and their program, which includes more than just teaching, but being a mentor. She’s mentored hooping students from 6 to 73 years old and believes that hooping is a complete body and mind experience that is fun for all ages.
Some of Carrie’s accomplishments include:
- 5 time United States American Ballroom Champion
- Examiner for Dance Vision International Dance Association (DVIDA) certifying ballroom dance instructors
- National Ballroom dance judge
- Master Certified Life Coach and Master Practitioner of NLP and Hypnotherapy
